Dental and vision

Dental and vision, in brief.

These plans sit next to a medical plan. They do not replace one. Waiting periods and annual maximums are in the brochure, not on this page as a promise.

What do dental and vision plans cover?

Dental plans often cover a cleaning sooner than major work, and they cap what they pay in a year. A vision plan often includes an exam and an allowance for glasses or contacts.

Dental

Many dental plans cover a cleaning sooner than they cover major work. Crowns and similar services often have a waiting period. The length is in the brochure. This page does not state a number of months.

An annual maximum is the most the plan pays in a year. After that, you pay the rest until the next plan year.

Before you buy, ask the dentist what a visit costs if you pay the office directly. Put that figure next to what the brochure says the plan pays. This page stops there.

Vision

A vision plan often includes an eye exam and an allowance for glasses or contacts. How often, and for how much, is in the brochure.

A vision plan is not medical coverage for an eye disease. That question belongs on the medical plan, or on a call with Seth.

Want dental or vision included when Seth prepares options? Say so on the call. Do not send medical details through this website.
